The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

शमबोधादिभिः पुष्पैर्देव आत्मा यदर्च्यते ।
तत्तु देवार्चनं विद्धि नाकारार्चनमर्चनम् ॥ १२८ ॥

śamabodhādibhiḥ puṣpairdeva ātmā yadarcyate |
tattu devārcanaṃ viddhi nākārārcanamarcanam || 128 ||

Know that to be the true worship of God, when the Deity of the spirit (or spiritual Divinity), is worshipped with the flowers of the understanding and tranquillity of the spirit.
