The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

तपः प्रचरतो राम मम कालोऽत्यवर्तत ।
अथैकदा कदाचित्तु बहुलस्याष्टमे दिने ॥ ९१ ॥

tapaḥ pracarato rāma mama kālo'tyavartata |
athaikadā kadācittu bahulasyāṣṭame dine || 91 ||

While thus I had been passing my time, in discharging the austereties of my devotion; it happened to turn out once on the eighth day of the dark side of the moon of the month of sravana.
