The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

यथोपलस्य घनता मानसादि तथात्मनः ।
सत्तामात्रादभिन्नत्वादभावादस्य संस्थितेः ॥ ८३ ॥

yathopalasya ghanatā mānasādi tathātmanaḥ |
sattāmātrādabhinnatvādabhāvādasya saṃsthiteḥ || 83 ||

As thickness is the property of stone, so are the mind and others but properties of the soul; and there being nothing which is distinct from the common entity of the soul, it is impossible for any thing to have a separate existence.
