The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.29.80

अपवित्रस्य तुच्छस्य दुर्भगस्य दुराकृतेः ।
देहस्यार्थं न मङ्क्तव्यं चिन्ताचण्डी सुदारुणा ॥ ८० ॥

apavitrasya tucchasya durbhagasya durākṛteḥ |
dehasyārthaṃ na maṅktavyaṃ cintācaṇḍī sudāruṇā || 80 ||

It is not proper that you should plunge yourself, into a sea of intolerable cares and troubles, for the sake of your impure and frail body, which is but a trifle in comparison with the inestimable soul.
