The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

विवेकधैर्यहीनेन स्वाहंकारमहोत्सवः ।
मूर्खेणालम्बितो येन नष्टमेवाशु विद्धि तम् ॥ ५० ॥

vivekadhairyahīnena svāhaṃkāramahotsavaḥ |
mūrkheṇālambito yena naṣṭamevāśu viddhi tam || 50 ||

The ignorant man that is elated by his egoistic pride, is lost both to his reason and patience; and one who is attached to the former by his neglect of the latter, is to be known as approaching fast to his perdition.
