The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

शीतलां सत्यतामेति सम्यगालोकनान्मनः ।
अवश्यमेव मर्तव्यं सर्वैरेव हि बन्धुभिः ॥ ५३ ॥

śītalāṃ satyatāmeti samyagālokanānmanaḥ |
avaśyameva martavyaṃ sarvaireva hi bandhubhiḥ || 53 ||

The mind comes to find this truth as the cooling balsam of the heart, that we are all doomed to die one day or other, with all our friends and relations in this world of mortality.
