The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.27.7

वंशखण्डे हि कस्मिंश्चिज्जायते मौक्तिकं यथा ।
जगत्खण्डे हि कस्मिंश्चिद्दृश्यते त्वादृशस्तथा ॥ ७ ॥

vaṃśakhaṇḍe hi kasmiṃścijjāyate mauktikaṃ yathā |
jagatkhaṇḍe hi kasmiṃściddṛśyate tvādṛśastathā || 7 ||

We rarely come to find the grain of a precious pearl in the hollow of a lonely bamboo tree, but it is rarer still to come across a holy personage, like yourself in any part of this world.
