The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

मनसो मननं सत्यं बुद्धेरेकावबोधनम् ।
अहंकृतेरहंकारं चिदात्मानमुपास्महे ॥ ६५ ॥

manaso mananaṃ satyaṃ buddherekāvabodhanam |
ahaṃkṛterahaṃkāraṃ cidātmānamupāsmahe || 65 ||

That which causes the thinking (power) of the mind, and the cogitation of the understanding; as also the egotism of egoism, is the intellectual soul, which I have learnt to adore.
