The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.25.10

रेचकः कुम्भकश्चैव पूरकश्च त्रिधा स्थितः ।
अपानस्योदयस्थाने द्वादशान्तादधो बहिः ॥ १० ॥

recakaḥ kumbhakaścaiva pūrakaśca tridhā sthitaḥ |
apānasyodayasthāne dvādaśāntādadho bahiḥ || 10 ||

All these three sorts of breaths, are perceived at the place from where the apana takes its rise, and this is at the distance of twelve inches below on the outside of the tip of the nose.
