The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.24.36

जाग्रत्स्वप्नसुषुप्तेषु सदैव समरूपयोः ।
सुषुप्तसंस्थितस्येव ब्रह्मन् गच्छन्ति वासराः ॥ ३६ ॥

jāgratsvapnasuṣupteṣu sadaiva samarūpayoḥ |
suṣuptasaṃsthitasyeva brahman gacchanti vāsarāḥ || 36 ||

The airs serve the body alike in all its states of waking, dreaming, and sound sleep, and his days glide on imperceptibly who remains in his state of profound sleep.
