The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

कदाचिज्जायसे व्योम्नः कदाचिज्जायसे जलात् ।
कदाचिद्वायुतः शैलात्कदाचिज्जायसेऽनलात् ॥ ९ ॥

kadācijjāyase vyomnaḥ kadācijjāyase jalāt |
kadācidvāyutaḥ śailātkadācijjāyase'nalāt || 9 ||

You are at one time born of air, and at another of heavenly fire; you are some time produced from water, and at others from empty vacuity or of the solid rock.
