The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.21.39

अनगस्त्यामगस्त्याशामेकपर्वततां गताम् ।
मत्ते विन्ध्यमहाशैले संस्मरामि जगत्कुटीम् ॥ ३९ ॥

anagastyāmagastyāśāmekaparvatatāṃ gatām |
matte vindhyamahāśaile saṃsmarāmi jagatkuṭīm || 39 ||

I remember the time when the northern and southern divisions (of India), were both included under the one boundary mountain (of Himalaya); and I remember also when the proud vindhyan vied to equal the great Meru.
