The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.21.3

हिरण्याक्षो धरापीठं द्वीपसप्तकवेष्टितम् ।
यदा जहार तरसा नाकम्पत तदा तरुः ॥ ३ ॥

hiraṇyākṣo dharāpīṭhaṃ dvīpasaptakaveṣṭitam |
yadā jahāra tarasā nākampata tadā taruḥ || 3 ||

When Heranyakha the gigantic demon of antediluvian race, strove to hurt this earth with all its septuple continents into the lowest abyss, even then did this tree remain firm on its roots, and on the summit of this mountains.
