The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.20.33

नोज्झामो न च गृह्णीमस्तिष्ठामो नेह च स्थिताः ।
मृदुपादा दृशा कूरा वयमस्मिन्द्रुमे स्थिताः ॥ ३३ ॥

nojjhāmo na ca gṛhṇīmastiṣṭhāmo neha ca sthitāḥ |
mṛdupādā dṛśā kūrā vayamasmindrume sthitāḥ || 33 ||

We neither cling to our life nor fling it away, but bear it as well as we may, and remain as airy orchids, lightly touching and unattached to their supporting arbour.
