The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

अण्डेभ्यस्तेभ्य एवं हि जाता वयमिमे मुने ।
भ्रातरश्चण्डतनया वायसा एकविंशतिः ॥ १७ ॥

aṇḍebhyastebhya evaṃ hi jātā vayamime mune |
bhrātaraścaṇḍatanayā vāyasā ekaviṃśatiḥ || 17 ||

It was these eggs, O great sage! that gave birth to thrice seven brethren of ours, all of whom are known under the appellation of the fraternity of chanda crows.
