The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.15.25

तत्र पश्याम्यहं यावदेकान्ते स्कन्धकोटरे ।
विचित्रकुसुमास्तीर्णे विविधामोदशालिनि ॥ २५ ॥

tatra paśyāmyahaṃ yāvadekānte skandhakoṭare |
vicitrakusumāstīrṇe vividhāmodaśālini || 25 ||

Here I beheld awhile afterwards, a lonely branch with a spacious hollow in it. It was strewn over with various flowers and redolent with a variety of perfumes. (The houses of great men are always scented with odours.
