The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.14.18

उत्क्रान्तिं कुर्वतो मेरोर्ब्रह्मनाड्येव निर्गतम् ।
मूर्धानमागतं कान्तं वाडवं जठरानलम् ॥ १८ ॥

utkrāntiṃ kurvato merorbrahmanāḍyeva nirgatam |
mūrdhānamāgataṃ kāntaṃ vāḍavaṃ jaṭharānalam || 18 ||

The flame of fire proceeding from its crater, and emitted through the crevice on its top, seemed as the culinary fire of the Yogi, carried up from his bowels to the cranium in Yoga.
