The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.12.2

इति पूर्णधियो धीराः समनीरागचेतसः ।
न निन्दन्ति न नन्दन्ति जीवितं मरणं तथा ॥ २ ॥

iti pūrṇadhiyo dhīrāḥ samanīrāgacetasaḥ |
na nindanti na nandanti jīvitaṃ maraṇaṃ tathā || 2 ||

So the wise men of perfect understandings, being evenly dispassionate in their minds; feel themselves neither glad nor sad, either in the enjoyment or deprivation of their lives.
