The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

अपरिज्ञातमज्ञानामज्ञानमिति कथ्यते ।
परिज्ञातं भवेज्ज्ञानमज्ञानपरिनाशनम् ॥ ५१ ॥

aparijñātamajñānāmajñānamiti kathyate |
parijñātaṃ bhavejjñānamajñānaparināśanam || 51 ||

The want of divine knowledge, that is called the ignorance of the ignorant; whereas it is the knowledge of God, that constitutes the true knowledge which removes the ignorance.
