The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.11.49

ब्रह्मात्मा सर्वशक्तिर्हि तद्यथा भावयत्यलम् ।
निर्हेतुकः स्वयं शक्त्या तत्तथाशु प्रपश्यति ॥ ४९ ॥

brahmātmā sarvaśaktirhi tadyathā bhāvayatyalam |
nirhetukaḥ svayaṃ śaktyā tattathāśu prapaśyati || 49 ||

Those who are versed in divine knowledge, know Brahma as without a cause and causing nothing by himself, and that he is free from decay, and is the Supreme spirit and sole Lord of all.
