The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.11.36

तरङ्गादिमहाम्भोधौ भूतवृन्दं तथात्मनि ।
इदं नास्तीदमस्तीति भ्रान्तिर्नामात्मनात्मनि ॥ ३६ ॥

taraṅgādimahāmbhodhau bhūtavṛndaṃ tathātmani |
idaṃ nāstīdamastīti bhrāntirnāmātmanātmani || 36 ||

All beings are situated in the universal soul, as the waves in the vast expanse of the ocean, therefore it is erroneous to say the one reside in the spirit, and another to be beside it.
