The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.10.40

आद्यन्तयोरसद्रूपे नूनं परिहृते हृदा ।
सर्वस्मिन्नेव यः शेषस्तमविद्याक्षयं विदुः ॥ ४० ॥

ādyantayorasadrūpe nūnaṃ parihṛte hṛdā |
sarvasminneva yaḥ śeṣastamavidyākṣayaṃ viduḥ || 40 ||

And as nothing belonging to the person makes the persons, but something beyond it that forms one's personality; so nothing in the world from its first to last is that spirit, but some thing which has neither its beginning nor end, is the eternal and infinite spirit.
