The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.10.37

आलोक आगते यादृक्तमस्तद्दृश्यते तथा ।
याऽवस्तुत्वे त्वविद्यायास्त्ववस्तुत्वं प्रतीयते ॥ ३७ ॥

āloka āgate yādṛktamastaddṛśyate tathā |
yā'vastutve tvavidyāyāstvavastutvaṃ pratīyate || 37 ||

As the great mass of thick darkness, disappears into nothing at the advance of light; it is in the same manner that the substantiality of gross ignorance, is dissolved into unsubstantiality at the advancement of knowledge.
