The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

यथा कीदृगवस्त्वेतदिति यावद्विकल्प्यते ।
अविद्या क्षीयते तावदालोकेनान्धता यथा ॥ ३३ ॥
yathā kīdṛgavastvetaditi yāvadvikalpyate |
avidyā kṣīyate tāvadālokenāndhatā yathā || 33 ||
Again when a man betakes himself to ponder well the properties of the object before him, his ignorance flies away from before his face, as darkness flies at the approach of light.
