The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

आत्मा शक्तिः पदार्थेषु तथा घटपटादिषु ।
सर्वत्र सत्तासामान्यरूपमाश्रित्य तिष्ठति ॥ २६ ॥
ātmā śaktiḥ padārtheṣu tathā ghaṭapaṭādiṣu |
sarvatra sattāsāmānyarūpamāśritya tiṣṭhati || 26 ||
It is the spiritual power which assumes the communal form and figure, in which it resides in the community of material things, as a picture, a pot (ghata-pata) and the like.
