The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.10.10

श्रीवसिष्ठ उवाच ।
अमनस्त्वमसंप्राप्तं मनस्त्वादपि च च्युतम् ।
तटस्थं रूपमाश्रित्य स्थितैषा स्थावरेषु चित् ॥ १० ॥

śrīvasiṣṭha uvāca |
amanastvamasaṃprāptaṃ manastvādapi ca cyutam |
taṭasthaṃ rūpamāśritya sthitaiṣā sthāvareṣu cit || 10 ||

Vasishtha replied:—The human intellect not having attained its perfect state of mindlessness, wherein it may have its supreme happiness and yet falling from its state of mindfulness, remains in the midmost position of a living and immovable plant or of an insensible material substance.
