The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.8.27

इतः पृथ्वीत्वमायाता तथेतो द्युतया स्थिता ।
इतश्चन्द्रार्कतां प्राप्ता तथेतस्तारकाकृतिः ॥ २७ ॥

itaḥ pṛthvītvamāyātā tatheto dyutayā sthitā |
itaścandrārkatāṃ prāptā tathetastārakākṛtiḥ || 27 ||

They distinguish the one as the nether world, and the other as the upper sky; and make distinctions between the solar and lunar planets, and the fixed starry bodies.
