The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.8.17

अधोब्रह्माण्डखण्डेषु स्वालवालेन जालिता ।
विधृताशेषजलधिजलक्षीरादिसेचना ॥ १७ ॥

adhobrahmāṇḍakhaṇḍeṣu svālavālena jālitā |
vidhṛtāśeṣajaladhijalakṣīrādisecanā || 17 ||

It is deeply rooted underneath the ground, and is watered with milk and curds, in the canals of the milky and other oceans, which are dug around its trunk.
