The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

भवादविद्योदेत्येषा तमेव फलति स्फुटम् ।
भावात्सत्तामवाप्नोति तमेव फलति क्षणम् ॥ ५ ॥

bhavādavidyodetyeṣā tameva phalati sphuṭam |
bhāvātsattāmavāpnoti tameva phalati kṣaṇam || 5 ||

One birth gives rise to another and that leads to others without end; hence it is foolishness in us to wish to be reborn again.
