The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

उद्यानवनखण्डेषु भूमौ कृतमदा मधौ ।
हृद्याः सुमनसो भान्ति दासा इव मनोभुवः ॥ ३ ॥

udyānavanakhaṇḍeṣu bhūmau kṛtamadā madhau |
hṛdyāḥ sumanaso bhānti dāsā iva manobhuvaḥ || 3 ||

These beauties appear as charming, to the enslaved minds of deluded men; and as the vernal flowers which are strewn upon the ground in forest lands.
