The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.6.59

भान्ति कान्ताकुमुद्वत्यो लोललोचनषट्पदाः ।
धम्मिल्लतिमिरोल्लासा लसत्पाण्डुपयोधराः ॥ ५९ ॥

bhānti kāntākumudvatyo lolalocanaṣaṭpadāḥ |
dhammillatimirollāsā lasatpāṇḍupayodharāḥ || 59 ||

It is under this delusion, that men view their beloved ones as buds of roses and lotuses, and their loose glancing eyes, as the black bees fluttering at random; they see the sable clouds in the braids and locks of their hair, and a glistening fire in their glowing bosoms and breasts.
