The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

अज्ञस्याशाः प्रसूयन्ते सुकृष्टादिव शालयः ।
नरकश्रीरिहाज्ञानं दुष्कृतव्यालवेष्टितम् ॥ ३९ ॥

ajñasyāśāḥ prasūyante sukṛṣṭādiva śālayaḥ |
narakaśrīrihājñānaṃ duṣkṛtavyālaveṣṭitam || 39 ||

The ignorant foster their hopes of heaven on the death of their bodies; as the farmer expects a plenteous harvest, from his well cultivated fields.
