The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.6.30

तस्मिन्विश्रमणं यत्तच्छिलाफलहके यथा ।
तेन यत्संगमः स स्यात्स्थाणुना भुवि जङ्गले ॥ ३० ॥

tasminviśramaṇaṃ yattacchilāphalahake yathā |
tena yatsaṃgamaḥ sa syātsthāṇunā bhuvi jaṅgale || 30 ||

Seeking friendliness in unintelligent men, is as wishing to rest or sleep on a burning mountain; and the society of the unintellectual, is as associating with the headless trunks of trees in a forest.
