The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

अहो अहं गतश्चित्त्वं भवद्वाक्यार्थभावनात् ।
शान्तं जगज्जालमिदमग्रस्थमपि नाथ मे ॥ १ ॥

aho ahaṃ gataścittvaṃ bhavadvākyārthabhāvanāt |
śāntaṃ jagajjālamidamagrasthamapi nātha me || 1 ||

Rama said:—O my venerable guide! My retrospection of your sermons, has set my mind to perfect rest, and I see the traps and turmoils of this world before me, with a quite indifferent and phlegmatic mind.
