The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.3.22

यस्यानुपादेयमिदं समस्तं पदार्थजातं सदसद्दशासु ।
न दुःखदाहाय सुखाय नैव विमुक्त एवेह सजीव एव ॥ २२ ॥

yasyānupādeyamidaṃ samastaṃ padārthajātaṃ sadasaddaśāsu |
na duḥkhadāhāya sukhāya naiva vimukta eveha sajīva eva || 22 ||

O Rama! that man is said to be truly liberated, who is unmoved under all circumstances, and has nothing to gain or lose in his prosperity or adversity, nor any thing to elate or depress him in either state.
