The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.2.41

अपुनर्दर्शनायैव दग्धसंशुष्कपर्णवत् ।
चित्तं विगलितं विद्धि वह्नौ घृतलवं यथा ॥ ४१ ॥

apunardarśanāyaiva dagdhasaṃśuṣkaparṇavat |
cittaṃ vigalitaṃ viddhi vahnau ghṛtalavaṃ yathā || 41 ||

Want of the partial view of the mind, gives the full view of one undivided soul; which consumes the particulars, as the vivid fire burns away the dry leaves of trees, and as the sacrificial fire consumes the oblations of ghee or clarified butter.
