The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.2.32

यावन्नोदितमुच्चैस्त्वं सज्जनासङ्गसङ्गतः ।
यावन्मौर्ख्यं न संक्षीणं तावच्चित्तादिनिम्नता ॥ ३२ ॥

yāvannoditamuccaistvaṃ sajjanāsaṅgasaṅgataḥ |
yāvanmaurkhyaṃ na saṃkṣīṇaṃ tāvaccittādinimnatā || 32 ||

So long as you do not raise yourself, by the counsel and in the society of the wise and good; and as long as you do not get rid of your ignorance; you cannot escape from the meanness of your belief in the mind.
