223,437 words | ISBN-10: 8171101519

The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.2.26

नास्ति चित्तं न चाविद्या न मनो नच जीवकः ।
एताः स्वकलना राम कृता ब्रह्मण एव ताः ॥ २६ ॥

nāsti cittaṃ na cāvidyā na mano naca jīvakaḥ |
etāḥ svakalanā rāma kṛtā brahmaṇa eva tāḥ || 26 ||

There is neither the mind nor the avidya (or ignorance), nor the living principle, as distinct things in reality; they are all fictitious terms.
