The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

तत्रैनं पूर्वसंबन्धः कृतसंध्यो महीपतिः ।
दूरमार्गं विनिर्गत्य पूजयामास सादरम् ॥ ८ ॥

tatrainaṃ pūrvasaṃbandhaḥ kṛtasaṃdhyo mahīpatiḥ |
dūramārgaṃ vinirgatya pūjayāmāsa sādaram || 8 ||

The king who had discharged his morning service, hastened to receive the Sage before hand; and walked a great way to welcome him, and do him honour and pay his homage.
