The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.1.45

प्रहरस्यार्धमात्रं ते तत आमुद्रितेक्षणाः ।
उत्स्वप्नमाययुर्निद्रां क्षणाद्विद्रावितश्रमाम् ॥ ४५ ॥

praharasyārdhamātraṃ te tata āmudritekṣaṇāḥ |
utsvapnamāyayurnidrāṃ kṣaṇādvidrāvitaśramām || 45 ||

They slept only one and a half watch of the night, with their closed eye lids; and then they shook off the dullness of their sleep, after driving the lassitude of their bodies by a short nap.
