The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

सैवोक्ता सङ्गशब्देन पुनर्जननकारिणी ।
तया यत्क्रियते कर्म तद्बन्धायैव केवलम् ॥ ८८ ॥

saivoktā saṅgaśabdena punarjananakāriṇī |
tayā yatkriyate karma tadbandhāyaiva kevalam || 88 ||

This impure desire is expressed also by the term attachment, which leads its captive soul to repeated births; and whatsoever actions are done by it, they tend to the faster bondage of the miserable soul.
