The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

ज्ञानवान्हृद्यशब्देषु वीणावंशरवादिषु ।
कामिन्याः कान्तगीतेषु संभोगमलिनेषु च ॥ २५ ॥

jñānavānhṛdyaśabdeṣu vīṇāvaṃśaravādiṣu |
kāminyāḥ kāntagīteṣu saṃbhogamalineṣu ca || 25 ||

The sapient man remains indifferent to the sweet sound of songs, and to the music of the lute and flute; he is not humored by the songstresses, and by the allurement of their persons and the enticement of their foul association.
