The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

क्व विषोल्लासनिर्यासदग्धोन्नतवनद्रुमाः ।
क्षुधिताजगराः क्षुब्धैर्निगीर्णा बालदर्दुरैः ॥ १० ॥

kva viṣollāsaniryāsadagdhonnatavanadrumāḥ |
kṣudhitājagarāḥ kṣubdhairnigīrṇā bāladarduraiḥ || 10 ||

As it is impossible likewise for a young frog, to devour a huge and hungry snake, which like the poisonous tree, attracts other animals to it by its poison, and then swallows them entire:—
