The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

न क्वचिद्याति विश्वासं मृगी ग्रामगता यथा ।
कल्लोलकलितं चेतस्तेषां जल इवाऽहिते ॥ ४३ ॥

na kvacidyāti viśvāsaṃ mṛgī grāmagatā yathā |
kallolakalitaṃ cetasteṣāṃ jala ivā'hite || 43 ||

They have no place of confidence anywhere, but stagger as the distrustful deer in the village;their minds are ever wavering between hopes and fears, as the sea water rising and falling in waves.
