The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

अथास्याः संविदो राम सन्मात्रं बीजमुच्यते ।
संविन्मात्रादुदेत्येषा प्राकाश्यमिव तेजसः ॥ ९८ ॥

athāsyāḥ saṃvido rāma sanmātraṃ bījamucyate |
saṃvinmātrādudetyeṣā prākāśyamiva tejasaḥ || 98 ||

The seed or source of our consciousness, is the Divine Spirit, which is the inbeing of all beings; and which produces our consciousness, as the solar heat produces the light, and as the fire emits its sparks.
