The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

यथा नौस्थाचलस्पन्दः संवेद्यं संविदस्तथा ।
एतन्मिथ्या हि दुर्ज्ञानं सम्यग्ज्ञानाद्विलीयते ॥ ७२ ॥

yathā nausthācalaspandaḥ saṃvedyaṃ saṃvidastathā |
etanmithyā hi durjñānaṃ samyagjñānādvilīyate || 72 ||

The objects of our knowledge are as deceptive, as the appearance of a moving mountain, to a passenger in a boat. All appearances are the presentations of our error or ignorance, and disappear at the sight of right knowledge.
