The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 5.91.22

संवित्समुदितैवाशु याति संवेद्यमादरात् ।
संवेदनादनन्तानि ततो दुःखानि चेतसः ॥ २२ ॥

saṃvitsamuditaivāśu yāti saṃvedyamādarāt |
saṃvedanādanantāni tato duḥkhāni cetasaḥ || 22 ||

By restraining our self-consciousness we in ourselves succeed to refrain from our consciousness of all other things because the knowledge of endless objects (particulars), is attended with infinite trouble to the mind.
