The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

जगत्काननमाक्रम्य स्थितायाः कृतजालकम् ।
ब्रह्मन्संसृतिमृद्वीकालताया वितताकृतेः ॥ ४ ॥

jagatkānanamākramya sthitāyāḥ kṛtajālakam |
brahmansaṃsṛtimṛdvīkālatāyā vitatākṛteḥ || 4 ||

This wilderness of the world, is beset by the wide spreading net of cupidity; which has overspread on the minds of people, as the creeping vine fills the vineyard ground.
