The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

याः फलावलयो येन संप्राप्ताः सिद्धिनामिकाः ।
तास्तेनाधिगता राम निजात्प्रयतनद्रुमात् ॥ ३७ ॥

yāḥ phalāvalayo yena saṃprāptāḥ siddhināmikāḥ |
tāstenādhigatā rāma nijātprayatanadrumāt || 37 ||

The success which attends on any body in the consummation of his object, is entirely owing to his personal exertion, and may be called the fruit of the tree of his own labour.
