The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

नरकेभ्यः समुत्तार्य स्वर्गेऽहमभियोजितः ।
कुकार्यक्षेत्ररूढाय नरकस्कन्धवाहिने ॥ ४२ ॥

narakebhyaḥ samuttārya svarge'hamabhiyojitaḥ |
kukāryakṣetrarūḍhāya narakaskandhavāhine || 42 ||

I am lifted from the pit of hell and placed in heaven, and bid adieu to the arbour of pleasures, growing in the soil of wicked acts, and bearing as its fruits the torments of hell.
